Level Crossing Projects

Coburg Station

BSI were contracted by John Holland Pty Ltd to install roofing and architectural cladding on the Level Crossing removals at Coburg and Moreland Stations.

Mernda Station

As part of the rail extension to the South Morang line, BSI were contracted by John Holland Pty Ltd to install roofing and soffit cladding to Mernda and Middle Gorge Stations.

Skyrail Stations

Although controversial at the time, the Caulfield to Dandenong rail crossing removal projects were all elevated. BSI were contracted by the JV partner (Lend Lease/CPB) to install roofing, cladding and internal lining at Murrumbeena, Hughesdale and Carnegie stations.

Since the involvement and completion of Victoria’s largest single rail project, Southern Cross Station, Barden-Steeldeck Industries has been the leading roofing contractor in working with various Joint Venture Partners for the majority of Level Crossing Removals as part of the Victorian Government’s program, including the following:
